Peter Snell



Peter Snell is a partner in Gowlings’ Vancouver office. His practice is primarily focused on domestic and international franchising, licensing, product distribution, business law and intellectual property/trademark law. Peter also assists businesses with corporate reorganisations, corporate governance issues, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and negotiating and drafting commercial agreements. Peter has been listed as a leading lawyer in several legal industry publications, including The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal: Canada, Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, Best Lawyers in Canada and Expert Guides’ World’s Leading Franchise Practitioners. Cheri Carroll is a franchise consultant and developer with over 30 years of experience in the franchise field. Cheri began her career in franchising with Jack In The Box as their first franchise salesperson and then sales manager, then a franchise executive with several other companies, before joining FranNet, where she worked with over 60 companies as a broker. In 2001 she began her own franchise consulting company, FranDevelop Consulting, and has developed almost every type of franchise as well as spending 18 years as a volunteer with SCORE (free business counseling through the US Small Business Administration). Ms. Carroll is a writer as well as a consultant and helps companies to develop and document their systems – she actually enjoys writing franchise operations manuals! She has written or been featured in articles for Franchising World Magazine, Canadian Business Franchise Magazine, Franchise Entrepreneur Magazine, BIZ Magazine, Successful Franchising Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, San Diego Business Transcript, and San Diego Tribune. She also enjoys writing a blog, which she began in order to stay current with social media marketing. Rhys Green



Rhys has been in the franchise world for a relatively short 5 years, but has found it to be a perfect fit for his passion for building great systems. He first started with 1-800-Got-Junk? in 2008 and has had great success both on the franchisee and franchisor side of the business. In 2010 the franchise he was leading won Australian Franchise of the Year because of its’ 60% year over year growth. Since coming back to the “Junktion” he has taken on call centre operations for three brands; 1-800-Got-Junk?, WOW-1-Day-Painting! and the latest addition You Move Me (which launched in April 2013 with 22 franchises). He has packed a huge amount of experience with building systems to support hyper-growth into his 5 years and in 2014 is taking two big steps into business ownership with an equity stake in the franchisor Kiwi Cleaning and the franchise You Move Me.


Lynn Roberts


Lynn Roberts is a former on-air broadcast journalist. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism with Honours degree from the University of King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Lynn completed both her 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training and her Pre-natal Yoga Teaching Training in 2004. She completed her Yin Yoga certification in 2010. With a strong passion for corporate wellness, Lynn founded Innergy Corporate Yoga Inc. in 2004. By 2011 the company had served over 2000 clients. In 2011, Innergy was a finalist in Small Business BC’s Successful You contest, as a nominee for Best Company in BC. In 2012, Lynn began offering a Yoga Teacher program across Canada. Chuck Prenevost


Chuck has over 21 years as a successful entrepreneur and small business owner. Reggie Milligan


Reggie is the co-founder of, a New York based food subscription service tailored to men. Mantry has been featured on NBC, The Food Network, Fast Company, GQ and even Playboy. Reggie apprenticed at The French Laundry and won a $40,000 scholarship for culinary school as a teenager. His first food company “The Social Feed” was acquired by San Francisco based Y-Combinator alumni in 2012.
